I think it is because of the oil spil and all the polution we cause. We should not liter its bad for are planet and for all the animals including humans.
I think that the season changes may have something to do with the whales washing up on shore. Since the seasons change the water temperatures, whales may be getting confused and trying to move to water that they're more comfortable in.
I believe that the recent whales washing up on the beach were caused by the recent busy activity in the ocean likes boats or fishing boats. I also think that spread in dieases could also cause these events.
Whales could be washing up on the shore on behalf of the unsafe environment it has been accustomed to. With that said, the only way to get out of the traps, or receiving what was needed for them to feel secure was to find it's way out of the unsecure area it had resided.
I think the whales could've been frightened by boats or submarines, or they could've been trying something new and not realized they were that close to shore. They also could've become confused, lost, or they were just trying to get into a more comfortable area without pollution.
I think it happens when the wales get too close to th shore then they get stuck on the sand banks then the waves just push the more and more onto the shore.
I believe that a large portion of the whales that wash up on the beach may accidentally think that the depth of water is higher then it really is, this may cause them to get stuck. After this a series of waves push the whales towards the shore and leave them stranded on dry land. Another cause could be a strong current that might pulls a whale out of the ocean and on the shore. It might also be that whales are having troubles making it to their breeding grounds due to fishermen, scientific studies, and other causes that might leave the areas uninhabitable so in search of new grounds they get stranded and eventually beached.
I think they've been washing up on the shores because they could have been scared off by something. It could have been humans or some other form of sealife.
Personally I think that whales washing up on the beach has nothing to do with pollution because why just whales? Why not sharks, dolphins,tuna...ect? I think that the whales that wash up are already dead by natural causes or just get caught up in to shallow of water.

ReplyDeleteThe tide could have washed up sick, injured, or old whales. Entanglement in fishing gear is a leading cause of the whales being injured.
ReplyDeleteI think sonar messes with whales. Whales use sonar themselves and I think navy's ships sonar confuses the whales.
ReplyDeleteI think the cause of whales washing to shore could be pollution or also getting caught in fishing nets.

ReplyDeleteI believe that whales being caught and entangled in fishing gear is a big reason why whales have been reasontly washing up.
